About me
As Lithuania’s Defence Sector Group head and attorney-at-law with the Public Procurement & Public Projects team, I bring extensive expertise in navigating complex legal challenges within project development and dispute resolution contexts. With a specialized focus on public and government-linked projects, I have developed a deep understanding of national security regulations, the domestic implementation of international sanctions, and the intricate procedures surrounding specialized clearances, licensing, and notifications. Since joining Sorainen in 2020, I have successfully leveraged my knowledge to guide clients through high-stakes legal matters in public projects and beyond.
Professional highlights
Focus on Defence & Security Projects. Given the increasing prominence of European safety and military issues in recent years, I have provided expert legal guidance to local and international companies in navigating national security legislation. In addition, I offer specialized counsel to defense contractors and public bodies, advising on procurement processes and regulatory compliance of government defense projects. My approach is informed by a deep understanding of the evolving legal landscape and the unique challenges faced by stakeholders in the defense sector.
Experience with Public Projects on Both Sides of the Aisle. With extensive experience working on both the government and contractor sides, I possess a unique skill set that bridges these two critical perspectives. This enables me to ensure seamless compliance and provide effective negotiation strategies, all while navigating the intricacies of state regulations and understanding the specific needs of contractors. From a business standpoint, I have advised contractors on strategic bidding, proposal formulation, and subcontracting processes for large-scale government projects, focusing on adherence to government standards and peculiar pricing structures. Additionally, my work with public sector clients has involved assisting in complex tendering procedures, representing clients in high-stakes negotiations on contractual matters and compliance issues, and drafting, reviewing, and modifying government contracts. My comprehensive approach ensures clients remain well-positioned to achieve success in the highly regulated environment of government contracting.
Integrated Single-Point Legal Management Services. Professional legal project management is a critical tool in proactively identifying and mitigating risks, enabling more effective planning of both intermediate deliverables and their overall scope. In managing large-scale legal initiatives, I provide comprehensive legal project management services, which encompass implementing robust risk management strategies, close alignment with clients’ senior management teams, and the identification & mitigation of potential legal issues that could impact project timelines or outcomes. My approach ensures full transparency throughout the process while strictly adhering to legal, financial, and operational objectives, ultimately driving the project toward successful and timely completion.
