Sorainen was proclaimed “Baltic firm of the year” by the International Financial Law Review (IFLR). Innovative cross-border transactions we advised on in 2019 brought this award to our team ‒ now for the seventh time.
The award speaks of our ability to support our clients in complex cross-border projects in the Baltic market such as:
- Report on introduction of pan-Baltic covered bond legal and regulatory framework – a significant step towards creating unified Baltic covered bond regulation.
- Sale of 60% shares in Luminor Group to a consortium led by private equity funds managed by Blackstone.
- Three private placements of fund units (total proceeds amounted to EUR 25.4 million) and preparing subsequent “whitewash” prospectus by Baltic Horizon Fund.
- The largest corporate bond transaction in Latvia – issuance of EUR 200 million corporate bonds by Air Baltic Corporation.
