Our experts on stage
This year experts from Sorainen will also give 2 public lectures during the festival, focusing on cap tables and IP matters.
How to populate your cap table?
Are you interested in knowing what a start-up cap table looks like, what equity instruments and options are and how they work? Join us for a seminar focusing on options, convertible loans and other equity investment instruments!
The seminar will be led by our partner Paul Künnap, the head of our Real Estate & Construction practice in Estonia who has an extensive background in handling M&A and tax cases and seeks to make Estonia an increasingly favourable environment for business’. Paul will be joined by our counsel Lauri Liivat, a seasoned expert in the fields of corporate law and M&A, who also has extensive experience in matters concerning real estate, IP, IT and commercial contracts. Whose special area of interest is the fast-evolving technology and startup sector.
Don’t forget about IP!
Intellectual property (IP) and know-how are often the most valuable assets in start-ups. So developing a strategy for protecting your IP is crucial and should not be neglected. Whether you are an investor or a start-up, please join us for a discussion on what constitutes IP and know-how in a start-up, who owns it and how can it be detected and protected.
This seminar will be led by senior associate Olivia Kranich together with associate Oliver Kuusk. Olivia’s everyday work includes matters related to trademarks, domain and business names, utility models, patents, industrial designs, geographical indications and copyrights. As an associate with the firm’s Competition & Regulatory practice group, Oliver is involved in advising our clients on telecommunications, media and intellectual property matters.
