Professional highlights

Practical activities. I have specialised in civil litigation since 2021. I have experience in damages cases – contractual and tort (including directors’ liability) and other civil disputes. I also have experience in representing clients’ interests in insolvency proceedings.

Academic activities. I prepared my Master’s thesis on the topic “Compensation of a fine imposed on a company for breach of competition law by applying civil liability to the manager”. In the context of foreign case law, I analysed the possibilities of refusing to impose civil liability on a manager based on the deterrence purpose of a fine for a competition law infringement and the doctrine of ex turpi causa non oritur actio.

My Master’s thesis was awarded the Walless Award for the second-best Master’s thesis in Business Law in 2024 and my Master’s thesis was nominated for the Best Master’s thesis in Law 2024 competition organised by the Supreme Court of Lithuania, where I was thanked for my contribution to the development of legal thought, academic activism and my Master’s thesis of great legal merit.

Also in 2024, my scientific article as a co-author entitled “Issues of Compensation for Damages Caused to Patients in the Provision of Health Care Services” was published by Vilnius University in the collection of peer-reviewed scientific articles “Scientific Law Spring 2024”. The article analyses the models of compensation of damages and their relationship and the resulting problems.

Activities in non-governmental organisations. During my studies at Vilnius University, I was an active member of the Vilnius University Students’ Representation and contributed to various projects and activities at the university. I was the Marketing Coordinator of the Vilnius University Students’ Association at the Faculty of Law (2020-2021) and the Marketing Manager of the project “Vilnius University Career Days” (2020-2021). I was also a member of the Dispute Resolution Committee and the Academic Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Law of Vilnius University (2021-2022) and a member of the Central Academic Ethics Committee of Vilnius University (2022-2024).
