BICG: Board Member Education Program
Baltic Institute of Corporate Governance (BICG) offers education programs related to corporate governance, designed to introduce Board and Supervisory Council members, shareholders and top executives to the best principles of corporate governance and provide a strong basis for their implementation in practice.
BICG offers an international education program for professional board members. Since its start in 2009, the program has had more than 700 high level graduates in the Baltic region.
Topics of the program are compiled based on the principles and recommendations on corporate governance by the International Finance Corporation of the World Bank Group (IFC) and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
The program is practical and interactive; it takes place over three sessions of two days each, held in Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius. It has board professionals from Sweden, Denmark and beyond sharing their experience and recommendations.
On 29 October our country managing partner Eva Berlaus will present topic – “Legal framework and liabilities as a Board member”.
The program is constructed to give non-executives and executives additional knowledge on how to direct their companies, and to enhance their value as non-executive independent board members of Baltic companies.
