Sorainen assisted Timac Agro on matters related to investment in the welfare of company employees. Timac Agro was seeking to expand the use of its vehicles to accommodate the personal needs of employees.
Lithuania-based Timac Agro is part of a worldwide group present in 42 countries and engaged in manufacturing and commercialising fertilisers and nutritional specialities for crops and animals.
Personal use of company vehicles results in an increased tax burden for both employer and employee, so that Sorainen not only assisted the client in creating and structuring a system so that cars could be used for employees’ personal purposes but also helped the client in preparing the necessary documentation covering both taxation and employment issues (including employee liability).
The client was advised by partners Algirdas Pekšys and Saulė Dagilytė and associate Gerda Bernotaitė.
