Sorainen Belarus in cooperation with Sorainen Estonia acted as legal counsel for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on the extension of a EUR 10 million loan to Vitebsk Sawmill Unitary Enterprise (Vitebsk Sawmill). The loan agreement was signed on 13 December 2016 to support the company’s strategic growth, double its manufacturing capacity, introduce energy efficient technologies and improve environmental and social standards.
Vitebsk Sawmill is one of the largest sawmill plants in Belarus and a subsidiary of Estonian Kaamos Group, a leader in the area of property development, construction and timber industry operating in Estonia, Finland, Georgia and Belarus.
