Fintech Factory Startup Challenge
Sorainen, in collaboration with Tenity, Latvijas Banka, Fintech Latvija asociācija, Visa, Walless and LatBAN – Latvijas Biznesa eņģeļu tīkls, is excited to announce the Fintech Factor Startup Challenge as part of the Latvia Fintech Forum 2024!
The Fintech Factor 2024 is a premier startup challenge designed to spotlight and accelerate the growth of early stage fintech startups. This competition provides a platform for innovative startups to showcase their solutions, connect with leading financial institutions, VC funds, policymakers, and gain valuable industry exposure in the Baltic region.
The competition will conclude with a Community Day on November 4, followed by a pitch event at the Latvia Fintech Forum on November 5, 2024. The eight selected startups will present their ideas to an audience of up to 250 esteemed industry leaders. Prizes include an early-stage growth kit with 10 hours of legal counselling by Sorainen and Walless each, 10 hours of growth mentoring by Tenity, a 2,500 EUR cash prize, tickets to Latitude59, sTARTUpDay, Nordic Fintech Summit, and Fintech Day 2024 and the potential for a 50,000–150,000 EUR investment from LatBAN and Tenity.
Startup challenge timeline:
- Submit Your Application: Complete the online web form by 30 September.
- Selection for Interviews: Tenity will review applications and select the most promising startups for interviews by mid-October.
- Final Selection: Following interviews, the top 8 startups will be chosen to pitch on stage at the Latvia Fintech Forum by mid/late-October.
- Pitching Webinar: Selected companies will join an online session on 29 October to help them prepare for the stage.
- Community Day: Mix, match, and mingle with industry leaders, investors, and fellow entrepreneurs on 4 November.
- Taking the Stage: Present your fintech solution on 5 November to a distinguished audience at the Fintech Forum – and compete for prizes.
