Sorainen advised Aon Baltic, the biggest insurance broker company in the Baltics, and Balto Link on their cross-border merger. Balto Link and its subsidiary in Latvia as well as Aon Baltic subsidiaries in Lithuania and Latvia were merged into Aon Baltic. The merger was completed on 2 November 2018.
The merger was the final step in the process of Aon Baltic’s acquisition of Balto Link, which is the largest acquisition deal in the Baltic brokerage business in recent years.
The pan-Baltic Sorainen team was led by partner Mantas Petkevičius and associate Inga Macijauskaitė. The team also included senior associates Evaldas Dūdonis, Agnė Sovaitė and associate Aurelija Daubaraitė from the Lithuanian office, senior associates Zane Paeglite, Santa Rubîna and associate Alîna Kalviša from the Latvian office plus senior associate Juulika Aavik and associates Nele Suurmets and Anneli Krunks from the Estonian office.
