In the recently released Chambers Europe rankings, our Employment team was moved up to Tier 1 in Lithuania. In total, we received fifteen Tier 1 rankings in the Baltics and Belarus.
Additionally, two new lawyers across different teams – Kaupo Lepasepp (EE) and Māris Simulis (LV) – joined the list of notable practitioners. Four Sorainen lawyers – Jane Eespõld (EE), Piibe Lehtsaar (EE), Andris Tauriņš (LV) and Agnietė Venckienė (LT) – improved their personal rankings.
Employment team takes the highest position in Lithuania
According to Chambers, clients find our Employment team in Lithuania to “take great care in understanding client needs,” as well as “giving prompt and detailed responses”. Three of the team’s lawyers are recommended as notable practitioners: partner Algirdas Pekšys, counsel Agnietė Venckienė and senior associate Jurgita Karvelė.
Our Latvian Employment practice remains in the top tier, with counsel Andis Burkevics securing a Band 1 ranking and associate Maris Simulis joining the list of recommended practitioners.
Our Employment team in Estonia is again ranked in Tier 2, and partner Karin Madisson, who heads the team, is recommended among the notable practitioners.
The Employment area is not researched in Belarus, where Chambers Europe only researches areas of Dispute Resolution, Corporate/Commercial and Intellectual Property – in all of them our team has received the highest rankings.
