We advised Decathlon on concluding an agreement with Baltic Shopping Centers, which manages the Kaunas shopping centre Mega, on the construction and lease of a new store at an adjacent site.
Decathlon is a French capital sports goods chain, which opened its first store in Lithuania in 2018. In total, the chain has more than 1,500 stores in Europe, North and South America, Africa and Asia.
New store to be opened in 2023
At the end of November, Decathlon Lietuva signed a lease agreement with Baltic Shopping Centres. The owner of Mega intends to invest EUR 5 million in the 3,600 m2 store. This will be the first Decathlon store in Kaunas. It is planned that the store will be opened at the beginning of 2023.
