We are representing Ivo Lakučs in a dispute with the Latvian Cycling Federation (LRF) regarding an imposed ban on participation in BMX competitions.
The essence of the matter
The LRF imposed a six-month ban on the client participating in any capacity in BMX competitions organised by the LRF, the European Cycling Union (UEC) or the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). On behalf of the client, we appealed the legality of this decision to the Latvian Sports Federation Council (LSFP). In addition, during the application examination process, we highlighted systemic deficiencies in the LRF’s practice regarding disciplinary actions. The application is still under examination.
