We advised Fincumet Group, a leading Finnish supplier of waste containers, in acquiring majority ownership of Estonian company Birger, Northern Europe’s largest producer of hooklift containers and related steel constructions.
A step towards the future
With this transaction, Fincumet acquired 60% of Birger, while former majority owner Aleksei Männiste retained 40% ownership and will continue serving as CEO of the company.
Said Männiste, “I am extremely satisfied to be a part of Fincumet Group. I am more than convinced that this step will boost Birger’s rapid growth and strengthen the entire group’s position in the market now as well as in the future”.
Fincumet is a family-owned Finnish company, founded in 1992, whose production is sold to clients in Europe and Asia. The company has cooperated with Birger for over ten years. After the acquisition, Fincumet Group’s revenues from container production will exceed EUR 30 million.
