With our assistance, the Northern European green energy company Gren has completed a transaction to acquire Rīgas Enerģija, a sustainable energy producer in Riga, adding to its fleet a biomass combined heat and power plant (CHP) that uses a local, renewable energy resource – woodchips – to produce clean and price-competitive heat energy and electricity. The deal has the aim of increasing and strengthening Gren’s sustainable heat production and delivery in Riga.

Our assistance included legal due diligence, assistance with drafting transaction documentation and negotiation of the transaction terms, assistance with obtaining a merger clearance from the Competition Council, and assistance with the signing and closing of the transaction.
