We advised the US private equity company Warburg Pincus to invest in the world-leading Lithuanian cyber security company Nord Security. In this investment round, Nord Security attracted USD 100 million and reached a value of USD 3 billion.
Warburg Pincus is a new investor in the company. Existing investors Novator Ventures and Burda Principal Investments also invested in this round. This year, it is the second investment of the same size and one of the largest in the country’s startup ecosystem.
Will continue to expand cyber security products
The company intends to use the investment to expand the products of Nord Security and another cyber security solutions company, Surfshark, in various global markets.
“The new round of financing and the experience, knowledge and connections of our new partners, Warburg Pincus, will allow us to strengthen our position further. Moreover, attracting this investment in the current market conditions shows that our long-term business model is appreciated”, says Tomas Okmanas, co-founder of Nord Security.
