Private equity firm Bregal Sagemount has invested 130 million USD in the print-on-demand company Printful. With this funding, Printful has become Latvia’s first unicorn, with a valuation of over 1 billion USD. Printful was founded in 2013. Up until this point, the company has been fully bootstrapped, and it generated 200 million USD in revenue in 2020 alone, a growth rate of 80% when compared to the previous year.
The 130 million USD invested by Bregal Sagemount is a small portion of their mammoth 1.5 billion USD fund. The firm specialises in investments ranging from 40 to 400 million USD in healthcare, business and consumer services, fintech, software, and digital infrastructure verticals.
