We are advising US company Rocket Software on opening a development centre in Vilnius. Founded in 1990 in Boston, Massachusetts, and currently employing 1500 people around the world, Rocket Software plans to hire more than 200 engineers and programmers in Lithuania in the next 2-3 years.
Says Andrew Baldrian, VP of Engineering at Rocket Software: “We want to create an innovative, next-generation software development centre that will become an integral part of the growing Rocket Software family.”
According to Mantas Katinas, General Manager at Invest Lithuania, Rocket Software’s decision to choose Lithuania for its new software development centre strengthens the country’s information and communications technology (ICT) ecosystem and bolsters Lithuania’s global presence as a technology hub in Northern Europe.
