Sorainen Belarus advised Signature Investment Group (SIG) on its acquisition of Korona, operator of the largest retail trade centre in Grodno, Belarus. The total area of the trade centre is approx 20,000 m² and is almost entirely leased to 800 tenants.
SIG is a global investment firm with offices in the US (New York) and Israel (Tel Aviv), mainly specialising in real estate development of various kinds such as hotels, shopping centres, medical centres and office buildings. Today SIG owns and operates over 1.5 million m² of commercial property and approx 1 million m² of residential property. The Grodno project is SIG’s first investment in Belarus.
Sorainen provided full transaction support to the client, including initial corporate and investment advice, preparing transaction documents and support with antimonopoly clearance and other closing formalities.
