We advised a German financial institution on making a EUR 25 million investment in smeGo, the Lithuanian-owned financial services platform. The funds raised will be allocated for the development of financial products aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Invoice financing is one of smeGo most popular funding services, alongside business loans, credit lines, and leasing. With this EUR 25 million injection to expand its factoring services, smeGo aims to become a leader in this segment in Lithuania.

Since 2016, smeGo has provided financing to over 4,000 SMEs, totalling EUR 2 billion. Currently, the company’s loan portfolio amounts to EUR 240 million, having grown by 30% in the last year.

smeGo is an international company with Lithuanian capital. It operates branches in Latvia, Estonia, Finland, and the Netherlands and plans to enter other Western European markets.
