Sorainen Latvia assisted Solar, a leading European sourcing and services company with a focus on climate and energy solutions, in the acquisition of a Latvian company which is the owner of 677 hectares of forest and agricultural land.
About the transaction
The project is part of Solar’s commitment to sustainability, with the aim to become net-zero in its own operations by 2030 and to reduce its CO2e by 25% across the value chain. As part of the project it is planned to afforest 430 hectares of land with 1.5 million trees in the next three years.
Our assistance and team
Our assistance included legal due diligence, assistance with drafting transaction documentation and negotiation of the transaction terms, and assistance with the signing and closing of the transaction, as well as assistance with post-closing matters.
