We successfully represented the victim’s legal successor in criminal proceedings. The proceedings were a result of computer fraud, which the victim was subjected to at a hospital.
Important ruling in terms of employer liability
Our team filed a lawsuit against the employee of the hospital that committed the crime, as well as against the hospital. The court upheld the action in full and to date, the damages, in the value of EUR 30 000, have been compensated.
The case was important in terms of employer liability. The court agreed with us that the employer is jointly and severally liable for the damage caused by a criminal offense committed by the employee if the damage became possible due to the employee’s duties.
