We advised Straumann Group, a global leader in tooth replacement and orthodontic solutions, on acquiring Med Grupė, a distributor of dental products in the Baltic states. Following the completion of the transaction, Straumann will have its first subsidiaries in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, allowing the group to expand its business in this region further.
Straumann brings together multiple global and international brands in restorative, prosthetic, corrective and digital dentistry, with its products distributed to more than 100 countries through a broad network of distribution subsidiaries and partners. The Straumann Group currently employs more than 10,400 people worldwide.
Med Grupė has around 50 employees at four offices in Vilnius, Kaunas, Riga and Tallinn. As well as distributing dental products, Med Grupė also offers training for implantologists and prosthetists.
