We advised Estonian startup company Miros on raising EUR 6 million. The investment round was led by the venture capital arm of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), EBRD Venture Capital and Tera Ventures.
Miros develops AI-based visual search platform software and licenses it to e-commerce platforms. The investment will be used to support Miros’s product development and expand its market reach in the US.
“The product is impressive – making the shopping journey intuitive for the consumer while demonstrating a clear return on investment for retailers globally. This is a great example of innovation originating from the Estonian tech ecosystem,” commented Aziza Zakhidova, associate director on the EBRD’s Venture Capital team.
A product with great potential
The recent investment round also included current investors Day One Capital and Metis Ventures, as well as angel investors, including the former President of Estonia, Toomas Hendrik Ilves; and the former Prime Minister of Estonia, Taavi Rõivas.
