Sorainen helped TUI ‒ the world’s biggest travel group ‒ in preparing a franchise agreement with TT and entering the Baltic market.
The franchise agreement contains conditions specifically suited to TUI, which maintains travel agencies, tour operators and leading travel online portals in all major source markets and holiday destinations worldwide. As a first-time experience this must be recognized as extremely successful because TUI is the big travel agency and outbound tourism service provider to enter the Baltic market so far.
TT Baltics launched operations on September 27 and this move is expected to stimulate growth of 20% in the Baltic tourism market. Travel organized by TUI guarantees the one-stop-shop principle: all travel services, ranging from hotel bookings to logistic destinations, are provided by one company or its partner. The TUI portfolio consists of tour operators, six airline companies with about 150 aircraft, over 380 hotels and 16 cruise ships, offering travel to 48 countries.
The Sorainen team consisted of partners Agris Repšs and Kaupo Lepasepp, counsel Viktorija Jarkina and Vitalija Tamavičiūtė with senior associate Marika Grunte and associate Sidas Sokolovas.
