Conference: Navigating the journey of distressed companies

Senior associate Edvīns Draba participated in the conference ‘Navigating the journey of distressed companies’ organised by INSOL Europe in Ljubljana, Slovenia on 7 June 2019. Edvīns acted as the technical co-chair of the conference, responsible for preparing the conference programme. In addition, he moderated a panel discussion entitled ‘The sooner the better: Harmonisation of preventive restructuring frameworks in the European Union’. The discussion, devoted to the new EU Directive on Preventive Restructuring Frameworks, was the first to cover the Directive after its adoption on 6 June.

The annual conference, held by INSOL Europe, is one of the most important events devoted to restructuring and insolvency in Central and Eastern Europe. This year it was Ljubljana’s turn to be chosen as the host city of the conference.

INSOL Europe is the leading professional organisation in the field of restructuring and insolvency in Europe. Edvīns represents Latvia on its Eastern European Countries Committee.
