We are delighted to announce that four of our Estonian partners have been selected to continue working in the expert committees of the Estonian Bar Association.
Contributing in several fields
Our specialists have been appointed to serve on three committees of the Bar Association – Mihkel Miidla in the IP and IT Law Committee, Karin Madisson and Piret Jesse in the Commercial Law Committee and Allar Jõks in the Fundamental Rights Committee.
In total 8 lawyers from our Estonian office are participating in the work of 7 expert committees of the local bar association. Previously appointed specialists include partner Kaupo Lepasepp (Administrative Law Committee), counsel Pirkko-Liis Harkmaa (Ethics and Methodology Committee as well as the Employment Law Committee), senior associate Maria Pihlak (Ethics and Methodology Committee) and senior associate Piibe Lehtsaar (Competition Law Committee). Partner Piret Jesse also serves on the board of the Estonian Bar Association.
Advisory role
The committees are formed on the basis of § 6 (1) of the Code of Procedure of the Estonian Bar Association with the aim of assisting and advising organisations and members of the Bar Association in law-making and practical issues relating to relevant laws, the analysis of relevant legislation and legal practices, and drafting of amendments.
