About me

As an associate with the firm’s Dispute Resolution and Risk Management practice in Latvia, I specialise in cross-border disputes, international and local arbitration proceedings, as well as recognition and enforcement of foreign court decisions and arbitral awards in Latvia.

Professional highlights

International trade. I have regularly participated in teams providing legal assistance in international trade. My expert knowledge covers dispute resolution in the area of international contracts for sale of goods.

Foreign investment protection. I assisted our client E energia in obtaining a favourable award against the Republic of Latvia at the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). These were the very first ICSID annulment proceedings that involved the State of Latvia.

Likewise, I have participated in legal research and provision of opinions on protection of foreign investors.

Sports law. I have always been very enthusiastic about sports. Professional athletes, sports clubs and federations have to face a variety of legal challenges. In my professional experience I have dealt with athlete employment questions, represented athletes in disputes as well as solved issues related to reputation.
