About me

As a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution and Prevention team, I resolve various civil and administrative disputes.

I specialise primarily in intellectual property disputes and public procurement. I have also represented clients in numerous contract law disputes as well as visa and residence permit disputes.

Professional highlights

Broad experience. I started at Sorainen as a trainee and worked as a lawyer during my university studies, gaining valuable experience in various legal fields. I have significant experience in both civil and administrative disputes. In civil law, I have resolved disputes in intellectual property, contract, debt, and family law. In administrative law, I have dealt with public procurement, immigration (visa and residence permit disputes), environmental law, and COVID-19 restrictions. My knowledge has been further enhanced by internships at the county court and the Supreme Court, providing me with insights into the judicial system. Additionally, I interned in Brussels in the office of Andrus Ansip, European Commission Vice-President for the Digital Single Market. I had the unique opportunity to observe the European Commission’s work at the highest level.

Court advocate in intellectual property. I am deeply interested in intellectual property law and have represented clients in numerous patent and trademark disputes. I have also focused on intellectual property law in my academic work, writing a doctoral thesis that combines public procurement law and intellectual property law, specifically copyright.

Advisor in public procurement. Besides intellectual property law, my other strong interest is public procurement. I have advised clients on various public procurement issues and resolved procurement disputes. I have also contributed to the field through research – my master’s thesis focused on the intersection of public procurement law and competition law and my doctoral thesis on public procurement and intellectual property issues.

Passionate educator. Continuous self-development and skill enhancement are important to me. I also value passing on knowledge and skills to younger colleagues. I have been teaching students at the University of Tartu since 2019, focusing on moot court competitions and civil law. I conduct contract law seminars and help students prepare for moot court competitions. I have also coached the University of Tartu’s team for the Willem C. Vis Moot Court Competition for years. In 2022, law students voted me the most inspiring lecturer.
