About me
I am a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution & Risk Management team. I have experience in various fields, both civil and administrative matters. Insolvency and corporate crime matters are particularly close to my heart. I passionately believe in teamwork, which ensures the best solution and leads to success even in the most challenging situations.
Professional highlights
Expert in insolvency law. I primarily protect the interests of creditors, but I also advise bankruptcy trustees and debtors. The topic of insolvency excites and challenges me because it requires knowledge of various legal fields. In practice, I often advise clients on issues such as claim protection, revoking transactions, exclusion of assets from the bankruptcy estate, transfer of enterprise, and the liability of management board members. I have represented clients in insolvency-related disputes with values reaching tens of millions of euros.
Preventing white-collar crime. I have worked on significant cases involving corporate crime prevention and advising clients after falling victim to such acts. This includes out-of-court counselling, from the initial steps when there is suspicion of wrongdoing within the company to subsequent civil disputes and criminal proceedings. I have advised clients in cases with values reaching tens of millions of euros.
Reputation protection. I am fascinated by finding the balance between honour, dignity and freedom of speech. I advise and represent clients in media disputes, helping to combat the publication of false information, defamation, and damage to reputation.
Inspiring and educating. For years, I have supported younger colleagues and the spread of legal knowledge among students and pupils. Today, I am a lecturer at the University of Tartu, where I teach European Union law. At Sorainen, I have led the student team Thinktank in Estonia and regionally and have led the Sorainen Student Academy project. Additionally, I have been a board member of the local unit of the European Law Students’ Association (ELSA) in Tallinn and a member of the ELSA Estonia audit committee. In cooperation with ELSA Estonia, I have given lectures to high school students in various legal fields, including labour law, contract law, and constitutional law.
