About me

I am an assistant lawyer with the Sorainen Latvian office Dispute Resolution and Risk Management practice group, and I assist colleagues in advising Latvian and international clients in both domestic and cross-border disputes. My main responsibilities are concerned with criminal law matters, international and domestic arbitration, trade law, and advising private clients.

Professional highlights

Litigation and arbitration. I provide assistance to my colleagues in various litigation and arbitration matters, both domestic and international. My experience and expertise in legal research, analysis and procedural nuances enable me to effectively support colleagues in drafting procedural documents or conducting legal research. I work on cases related both to litigation and arbitration proceedings on a daily basis, as well as on cases concerning the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards.

Trade law. In addition to my day-to-day work on trade law issues such as international and domestic trade of goods and services in various sectors, as well as international and domestic transport, I have also been a lecturer’s assistant on an international commercial law course.

Criminal law. As part of my everyday work I assist colleagues with legal research and drafting of documents in criminal law cases such as fraud, money laundering, tax evasion and corruption.

Self-development. I devote a lot of resources to developing myself, both professionally and personally, by regularly attending various trainings and courses. In addition to working on the dispute resolution team, as a member of Thinktank I have the opportunity to work together with colleagues from other practice groups, thus gaining experience and knowledge in different areas. In addition to law, my professional interests include politics and international relations.
