According to the 2024 Baltic Kantar Prospera client survey of top-tier Baltic law firms, Sorainen ranks first in the “Best legal competence” category, as it has done for the past three years. Sorainen Estonia ranked as #1 law firm in Estonia according to overall rankings.

“Ensuring the highest client service quality has been at the heart of Sorainen’s strategy for many long years,” said our Managing Partner Eva Berlaus. “Feedback from clients, whether it is praising our close collaboration or highlighting ways to improve, is what keeps us going. What other KPI could possibly be more important for a professional service firm?”
“The scores of the three Baltic Sorainen offices, as well as the scores of other top-tier Baltic law firms, speak of a very high market standard,” she added. “We are happy to keep working hard and developing our skills in this highly competitive market, and continue to be the trusted advisor to our clients.”
Maintaining high standards
The race among top-tier law firms to be in clients’ good graces has always been competitive in the Baltics, which of course is good news for the buyers of legal services. The high standards are well illustrated by the fact that the overall scores of Baltic law firms remain higher than those of their Scandinavian peers. The top four Baltic law firms all have better general feedback scores than the ranking leaders in Finland, Denmark, or Norway. True, most Baltic law firms did not reach their own top scores of last year.
Besides legal competence, the survey also evaluates law firms based on various demands they have for their legal advisors. This year, Sorainen Estonia took the highest ranking among the country’s top-tier law firms, including being the most valued strategic business partner and having the best international competence, according to clients.
What matters most to clients has not changed over the past six years: lawyers’ skills, business advisory, and project staffing are still the most important criteria for choosing a legal advisor.
Clients also expect excellent reputation and top-quality service from law firms. “When changes are needed from our side, we let them know and the firm reacts instantly and resolves everything immediately,” was the feedback to Sorainen from one of the clients who participated in the survey.
Research involves over 360 organisations
The Prospera Law Firm Review is an independent annual survey conducted by the Swedish analytics firm Kantar SIFO. This year, interviews were conducted with 362 Baltic-based organisations that have spent at least EUR 15,000 over the last year on outsourced legal help, with half of the respondents declaring spending at least EUR 50,000. 57% of the respondents were top executives, and a third were corporate lawyers and heads of legal departments.
