The World Bank, an international financial institution, asked for our assistance with its Employing Workers project. Employment law experts from our Estonian and Lithuanian office filled in a detailed questionnaire to describe the regulation of employment in the region – specifically as it relates to hiring, working hours and making workers redundant.
Employing Workers
The Employing Workers dataset serves as a source of information for policymakers, academics, researchers and private sector workers who are interested in employment regulations worldwide. The project gathers and analyses comprehensive quantitative data to compare labour regulations across different economies and over time. The data covers 191 economies and is published annually.
Our client team
Our partner Karin Madisson and legal assistant Nils-Gregory Aer from our Estonian office contributed to the dataset, as did senior associate Aurelija Daubaraitė and legal assistant Izabelė Petrikaitė from our Lithuanian office.
