On 21 June during the graduation ceremony of Vilnius University Faculty of Law, Sorainen awarded the authors of the best master theses on the topic of criminal law. The best thesis was selected by a five-person commission representing Sorainen and the Law Faculty of Vilnius University.
The author of the best master thesis was announced as Monika Naujalë, who was also presented with a scholarship of EUR 800. Karolina Liesytë was awarded as 2nd place winner and Laura Šivickaitë was awarded as 3rd place winner.
Kæstutis Švirinas, Sorainen partner and head of the Dispute Resolution Practice Group in Lithuania, notes: “I am happy that students who analyse criminal law in their master thesis will be eligible for this award. Criminal law includes not only crimes involving life or health but also financial crimes, unfair commercial IP practices and other violations. This field is wide and really interesting and the scholarship aims to encourage the popularity of criminal law among law students.”
Sorainen entered into a collaboration agreement with the Law Faculty of Vilnius University in December 2017. Under the agreement, Sorainen presents an annual award for the best master thesis of the year from the Law Faculty on the topic of criminal law.
