Sorainen has selected 22 projects that will receive pro bono legal and tax advice from us in the Shared Mission programme. These include 11 organisations from Estonia, four from both Latvia and Lithuania, and three from Belarus. The legal needs of the organisations that we will assist with include various regulatory, corporate, data protection, employment and commercial contracts issues.
The successful applicants include NGOs working with refugees and homeless people, and dealing with mental health and waste reduction issues, as well as several health start-ups, including companies operating online platforms for health workers or offering services for cancer risks screening.
Great pool of applications
“We are very happy about the pool of applications we received this year: they are very innovative ideas, covering a variety of sustainable topics and showing a strong desire to make our region and the world a better place,” says Olga Solovyanchik, one of the Shared Mission programme managers. “The projects which were selected this year have definitely set a high bar for all future participants of the programme.”
This year we focused on innovative and health related projects and received 51 applications. We thank everyone who showed interest in our programme, spread the word about it and sent in their application.
EUR 100 000 worth of advice
Sorainen launched the Shared Mission programme last year, providing EUR 100,000 worth of free legal and tax advice annually. All projects we support are expected to contribute to our core purpose, which is increasing prosperity and well-being in the Baltic States and Belarus.
