We care about the startup climate in our region. And because we care, our specialists are ready with their support. For example, we mentor startups, collaborate with accelerators, angel investors and venture capital associations and help connect startups with investors.

Impact on the regional future

In recent years a significant number of fintech companies have launched their activities in the region. We are confident that these initiatives will further boost the innovation ecosystem in the Baltics and Belarus. And that is why we have started cooperation with sTARTUp Day and the Wise Guys Fintech 3 accelerator programme.

sTARTUp Day is the biggest festival in the Baltics, gathering together startups, traditional entrepreneurs, investors, innovators and students. The aim of the event is to connect startup-minded people and celebrate entrepreneurship in the smart city of Tartu. The programme consists of diverse topics from marketing to space tech and fundraising to smart city, bringing together over 100 world-class speakers, including our tech law experts ‒ partner Kaupo Lepasepp with associate Mirell Prosa.

The Wise Guys 3 Fintech 3 accelerator programme is hosted by ROCKIT and supported by other partners such as Swedbank and Google Developers Launchpad. The programme runs from October 2019 to February 2020 in Vilnius to facilitate selected international startups gain access to high level mentors from these companies, as well as potential pilots and other perks, with selected startups receiving up to EUR 50,000 initial investment with a follow-on possibility, modern office space and an intense mentorship-driven programme.

Having worked with many leaders in the field, including the Estonian unicorn Bolt as well as Facebook and Shopify, we have gathered valuable know-how. We are looking to share that know-how with future innovators in our region. As a way of sharing our expertise with future innovators we have launched a monthly free legal clinic for startups, focusing on new legal matters every month.
