On April 25, CEE Legal Matters presented Sorainen with the 2022 Latvia Deal of the Year award for its work on the Renta Group’s acquisition of Uprent Group from BaltCap.
The pan-Baltic Sorainen team was led by counsel Jānis Bite and supported by country managing partner Eva Berlaus.
In close cooperation with the lead legal counsel, we provided full legal support on the Baltic aspects of the transaction, including legal due diligence and transaction negotiations, as well as closing the transaction.
The winners of this year’s Deal of the Year Awards were announced on April 25 in Istanbul, during the CEE Legal Matters Deals of the Year Awards Banquet. The event was held in conjunction with the CEE General Counsel Summit, recognising and celebrating the largest and most important deals in Central and Eastern Europe. This was the most competitive year to date, with the jury voting on a record number of submissions, making the ultimate winners all the more worthy of praise.
