This year we are celebrating the 20th birthday of the Sorainen Lithuanian office. When it was opened back in 1999 we already had two very small offices in Latvia and Estonia. Launching operations in Lithuania meant that we connected all three Baltic states and became the first pan-Baltic law firm in the region.
Having grown from a three-person office in 1999 to a team of 120 today, we have travelled a long journey that has taught us about the importance of continuous evolution and development. So while it is always tempting to celebrate past achievements, we are celebrating our 20th birthday with an eye on the future and ready to welcome change.
This year more than ever has been full of changes for Sorainen in general and for our Lithuanian office in particular. At the beginning of 2019 we refreshed our visual identity with the aim of more effectively communicating our firm’s integration and connectedness across the region. While remaining the same trusted legal and tax adviser that our clients have known for 20 years in Lithuania and even longer in the other Baltic states, this fresh look makes our forward-looking approach more visible.
Another big step we took this year was relocating our Lithuanian office to a new space. Coming at a highly symbolic time as we enter our third decade, this move reflects that we have finally outgrown our long-time home in Jogailos street and are ready to move ahead – with a clear vision, a stronger-than-ever team and a firm dedication to be an even better, value-adding help to our clients.
Finally, we celebrate with a ‘thank you’ gift to our Alma Mater – Vilnius University, which has nurtured so many great talents among our team. Our initiative in creating an environment to facilitate discussion, networking and cooperation among the academic community has resulted in the Sorainen Space – a new coworking and leisure space for students at the faculty of Law.
We also want to thank our clients, team members, alumni and friends for being with us during these fascinating 20 years and to wish us all decades more of this bright and prosperous journey.
